Private Classes with Maye

Taking private classes allows us to focus on just the skills that you are interested in developing. I have experience teaching vocal technique, musicianship, performance skills, repetoire development, style and many other aspects of developing your art. I can provide you with tailor made warm-up CD's. We often record during our lessons so you can work on microphone technique and also have a chance to hear how you are progressing. I have a huge library of music and can frequently provide you with charts and leadsheets for your songs in your key as well as practice CD's for study. I believe that studying music should be enjoyable and that you should recognize tangible resutls quickly.

I've been a private student of Maye's off and on for the past 20 years.  She knows how to bring out the best in a student by encouraging good practice habits and making it fun at the same time.  The expression "time flies when you're having fun" describes how I feel about my lessons.  We cover a lot of ground but the minutes go by too quickly.  I really enjoy the way she helps me learn a new song by showing me how to see the "heartbeat" of the music.  Her own passion for singing is evident if you ever have a chance to see her perform live and it will inspire you to work even harder! ~Roe

Maye is an excellent musician and teacher. She is familiar with every musical style and teaches with patience and humor, making the learning process enjoyable.
